Student work: responsive web development

The final project for my Interactive Media 1 class focuses on responsive development for a small business or non-profit in the Bay Area. Students are required to do extensive market research, conduct interviews with stakeholders and wireframe with mobile first web practices. This project introduces core Javascript concepts and extends students experience with advanced HTML5 and CSS3.

Cha Cha Cha

Students Crystal Candalla and Nalleli Vazquez Santiago worked with the owners of San Francisco based restaurant, Cha Cha Cha, to imagine a new and improved responsive restaurant that better matched the ambiance of the eating experience.

SF Skate club

Daniel Genis and Kiki Narag worked with SF based non-profit, SF Skate Club to create a responsive website to make their programing more accessible to youth in the Bay Area.

Chika xicana

Korina Moreno and Jennifer Olascoaga created a site for Korina’s non-profit, Chika Xicana. The site functions as a place to sell Korina’s designs to financially support other women of color with scholarships.
